About Beerens Group

Beerens Group is a company with several branches, including Beerens and Hamers Totaal. It employs 80 people who are committed to creating the most beautiful interior design projects, both unique and scalable, for clients in the Netherlands and Europe, with a special focus on the Benelux. Our speciality? Developing scalable interior concepts for various sectors, such as retail and B2B. This includes the design of shops, shopping centres, offices, dental practices, petrol stations and catering establishments.

We have long-term partnerships with well-known brands such as Kruidvat, Trekpleister, ICI Paris, Zeeman, Karwei, Wereldhave and Rituals.

About the position

In addition to selling products and services, you will manage the purchasing and sales department. Together with your immediate superior (Managing Director), the manager draws up a sales plan, coordinates market research and works closely with the various departments. The sales plan determines the course of this position.

In addition, you will be responsible for expanding the current market and tapping into any new markets to which the company supplies its goods and/or services. You will closely monitor trends and developments in the market in order to identify new opportunities and respond to them strategically. To achieve the expansion of the business in practical terms, you will be in direct contact with existing customers, business relations and potential new leads. Your goal in this position is to meet the company’s sales targets and to continuously seek out new business opportunities. Your focus is on maximising the company’s profits.

Responsibilities of the Sales & Business Development Manager:

  • Identifying new opportunities and markets.
  • Spotting market trends (and translating these into new propositions).
  • Expanding sales activities at customer level and/or regional level.
  • Developing new propositions.
  • Developing a strategy to approach new markets.
  • Developing clear sales plans for the intended market(s).
  • Generating new leads (potential customers).
  • Demonstrating the product to be delivered or the service to be provided.
  • Following up on leads generated through marketing activities.
  • Maintaining and expanding the customer portfolio.
  • Converting standard products and services into a solution tailored to the customer.
  • Organising and leading sales meetings.

  • We are seeking a talented salesperson for this exciting position. Following your commercial education at higher professional education level, you have gained experience in international sales.
  • You are innovative, ready for the next step in your career, and able to hold your own in the dynamic market in which Beerens operates.
  • You are a star at communicating. You express yourself in clear, understandable language and have a good sense of what the other person means.
  • You have strong analytical skills.
  • You are a natural at networking; in fact, it is what you thrive on. Relationship management is second nature to you, and you understand what it takes to succeed in this area.
  • We don’t need to tell you what to do. You’ve already figured it out and are on your way to telling us what your ideas are.
  • You enjoy speaking in public. You are an enthusiastic storyteller and draw everyone into your narrative.
  • The sky’s the limit when it comes to you. With flair and a touch of audacity, you pitch the best, out-of-the-box ideas that meet the customer’s needs.
  • Stress? That’s not in your vocabulary. Even when things get tough, you continue to perform effectively, staying calm and responding in the best interests of the business.
